Privacy Policy
The short version: Stool does not collect, transmit, or share any of your personal health data. All data stays on your device and in your iCloud account. We have no servers. We see nothing.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Reach Point Lab ("we," "our," or "us"), a division of Reach Point Capital LLC, handles your information in connection with the Stool iOS application ("the App").
We built Stool to be simple, private, and free. Your health data is yours — we have no interest in it and no infrastructure to collect it.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Bowel movement logs, Bristol Stool Scale entries, or digestion notes
- Water intake records
- Apple Health / HealthKit data of any kind
- Your name, email address, or any account credentials
- Device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data
- Usage analytics, crash reports sent to our servers, or behavioral telemetry
3. Data Stored on Your Device
All data you enter in Stool is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks. If you enable iCloud sync, your data may be stored in your personal iCloud account — governed entirely by Apple's own Privacy Policy. We have no access to your iCloud data.
4. HealthKit Integration
Stool integrates with Apple HealthKit to read and write health data, including gut health metrics, water intake, and related data types. This integration is subject to Apple's HealthKit terms.
- Stool will request your permission before accessing any HealthKit data.
- HealthKit data is only used to display information within the App and to sync your entries to Apple Health.
- We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
- HealthKit data is never shared with any third party, including analytics providers.
5. Third-Party Services
Stool does not integrate any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or data brokers. The only external framework used is Apple's own HealthKit, which is governed by Apple's privacy practices.
6. Children's Privacy
Stool is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Because we do not collect your data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our end. To remove data from your device, delete the App or clear data through iOS Settings. To remove data from Apple Health, use the Health app directly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be available at reachpointlab.com/privacy/stool. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
